We are back!

Sorry for the lack of blog posts for soooo long. It's all been a bit crazy here. The snow was pretty bad for a while there. It's been REALLY bloody cold, and all manner of hazardous happenings occured.

I realised that I'm really rather a Southern wuss... and was completely unable to cope with the sub zero temperatures! Our track turned into an absolute ice rink... but still (remarkably... and astonishingly!) life just went on as normal for everyone around us. There were a few mornings where I would've bet my life the school bus wouldn't turn up... but every day it did, without fail, on time. It's absolutely remarkable! Meanwhile I was unable to get my car off the track, and got it stuck in the field, then in a ditch... so not getting out to work and all sorts. What a nightmare it was!! Locals have been saying they can't remember such a drawn out long cold winter... and we've been living in a bloody tin box! Blimey! There have been some miserably cold days, and we all got pretty ill on top of all that which did not lighten the mood.
Anyway. For the good news, it finally looks like we are in the death throws of winter. Theres a few brave spring singy birds hanging around my garden... and the geese seem to be heading back to Russia (they all live here for the winter!). And... we got a kitchen. It looks like this.

We have also plasterboarded the utility room and it looks really good. Look...

Sounds like life has been a bit challenging. The barn/house looks great. Hope that you are all keeping your spirits up, our local forecast is for more snow this end. Love to all. Mx
P.S. If you all need a break you are very welcome down this end of the snowbelt :)

It's good to have something to replace the tree hugging!
The kitchen and utility look great. You're doing a great job Stu.
It's tried to snow here today and the mountains are covered again but it's quite pleasant in the sun.
Love Mum & Dad

Good to see you survived- I was beginning to think you might be buried under a snowdrift.

Hi guys, glad to see you are all still about and hadn't really gone into hibernation. So sorry it's so cold for you. The house looks great, hopefully the snow will go away soon and you can get the house livable, and get out of your cold tin box. We think of you often xx

In May 2007 we packed our bags and headed for the Highlands. We setup a blog and unfortunately the Gremlins did for it. So here is BLOG: The Revenge.
