Tree Hugging!

Yesterday the school was closed because the water got cut off and the toilets wouldn't flush. It was a bit of a downer because me and my friend Tori were all hyped up for a bit of a ladies day out. It meant we had to change our plans a bit... so instead of shopping and lunching we went and played on the park at Shin Falls.

We also went on a bit of a walk and looked at the trees. I am hoping to get an exhibition at Eden Court Theatre in August with this guy I (vaguely) know who makes furniture out of lumps of tree, so I thought something like this might be quite fitting. So, our walk in the icy sleet started me thinking about that...

I am hoping I might be able to do something quite nice with these... and think I will be spending quite a bit more time looking closely at trees.
Hey! We have also had a visitation from Stuarts olds. Bob got really busy with the wood working... and we've pretty much finished the stud walls all over the house now. I met a man who put us onto a sparky last week... and he's due to come and do the first fix on Saturday. And our plumber has recovered from his (potentially fatal) blood poisoning and is due to come and plumb us in tomorrow. So things on the building front are looking pretty good. We hope to start plasterboarding next week.

Those trees are beautiful, i'm so glad to hear you talking of exhibitions and stuff like that. I'm having one in Brizzle in May, just incase you come down this way you really should make it when it's on! I'm going to plan my August holiday to Scotland now.

Hello. It's lovely to see what Verity is looking like these days, even all wrapped up to keep warm. Ryan is looking bigger too. Hope you all had a nice time in the forest. The pictures of the trees are lovely. All misty and tall and cold. I love trees! It's mainly willow trees round here. We are going to a Burns Night supper at our village hall on Saturday, before flying up to see you on Sunday....getting in some practice with all the lovely Scottish cuisine!!! Just hope the plane takes off with all the additional calories inside us. Love to all from us. x x

In May 2007 we packed our bags and headed for the Highlands. We setup a blog and unfortunately the Gremlins did for it. So here is BLOG: The Revenge.
