My sister has asked for an update on the wellbeing of our cats Mick and Keef. They have had a bit of a traumatic time since arriving up North... there is no cat flap on our caravan and thus they spend a lot of their time outdoors. The winter was pretty chilly out there last year and they looked unhappy most days. On the upside, they have benefited from the immense amount of free food which has come in the form of many many wild bunnies that live in our garden and the opposite field. On the whole though, they have become a pair of scavenging ferral felines.

We think they will be a lot happier when they have a house with a catflap and a big warm fire!

Meanwhile, the stud walls inside the steading are improving all the time... John was here all day on Saturday and completed studding the other long wall. It's beginning to look like a house now - you can see where all the windows and doors will go and get a feeling for the space that we are creating!

The other thing that has been keeping us busy is making steps which lead from the bottom garden up to the top garden and polytunnel. The route up there has been a bit hairy up until now... but now it is safe.
And then there's the ever growing ENORMOUS baby who has a very great appetite at the moment...

She loved the pureed apricot and pear breakfast this morning!!

I'm glad to see the cats are still with you and haven't run away into the wilds. Last night I had a daydream/dream dream all about moving to Scotland sometime- in my dream I came up to visit you and then decided to move there too. Can you please find a big fat man with a woolly jumper who is looking for a big fat girl with a fluffy cat and an interest in gardening? Ta.

ps- baby is massive. I was going to send up some clothes that Alesha has grown out of, but I think that might be a bit pointless!

Hey lady!
There are SO many handsome woolly jumpered big men up here you wouldn't believe it. And all with sexy Scottish accents and big tractors.

In May 2007 we packed our bags and headed for the Highlands. We setup a blog and unfortunately the Gremlins did for it. So here is BLOG: The Revenge.
